Task: The aim of this assignment is to conduct a management analysis of CSL- http://www.csl.com.au. The report should contain the following elements (please see marking rubrics for more details): Background, introduction and importance of company to the Australian and international business landscape: 1. Focus on its international business environment and funnel it down to Australian base Research, analysis and discussion of sustainability related strategies and issues: 1. Please relate your analysis to sustainability practices of CSL (i.e. reflect on relevant theory + strategies applied + sustainability practices implemented by the company), and include the roles of planning, organising, leading and controlling mainly demonstrated via: 1.Planning and strategy 2.Human resources management 3.Leadership 4.Controlling the value chain and technology Future strategies management should engage in (identify 3 major strategies based on previous analysis of the company) 1. Human resources management The discussion can focus on (but not limited to) the following points: 1. Which HR-related competitive strategies have been implemented by CSL? 2. How has CSL managed to find the right people? 3. How has CSL managed to develop an effective workforce? 4. How has CSL managed to maintain an effective workforce? 5. Has any sustainable practice been applied in CSL’s HRM activities? Leadership The discussion can focus on (but not limited to) the following points: 1.
