Assessment Overview:
Each group will pick a topic area and develop an employee training program during the class time. Specific time will be set aside during the tutorials in Week 9 and 10 to schedule these presentations.
The topic area can be anything relevant to organisations providing trainings to employees. Example topic areas for consideration are: effective communication; developing teamwork; leadership development; stress management; among others (you are also welcome to pick another topic area that you have learnt in our HRD course or other HRM courses).
Please note, you also need to pick an organisation for which your training program is designed – it can be a real organisation (e.g. Google, Apple, IBM etc.) or it can be a fictional organisation. In either case, you will need to justify why your training program is needed for this organisation (i.e. a Training Needs Analysis is required). Please feel free to choose the topic area and the organisation that your group feel most comfortable with and you are welcome to consult with your tutor.
A time slot will be given to each team for presentation and due to limited time in class we will enforce strict adherence to the time allocation. As the total number of teams depends on the enrolment numbers, your tutor will provide more information on how much time each team will be given before the assessment.

Your training delivery should demonstrate your knowledge and skills in the areas below:
Carry out a training needs analysis to justify your training program proposed in the particular organisational context
Derive a set of key learning objectives
Develop an instruction plan
Develop appropriate materials for training
Demonstrate your considerations of adult learning principles and/or individual differences in learning
Identify and adopt appropriate methods and techniques for training
Show knowledge of training evaluations
