Building Material

Description

This new building material uses a revolutionary new technology that combines carbon fibre for lightness and strength, special cavity thermal insulation, and fireproof/resistant outer layers and coatings.

The carbon fibres are sourced from existing North Queensland coal reserves. Processing coal into carbon fibres will contribute to reducing Australia’s existing carbon emission levels. Using renewable energy from solar farms and battery storage, the patented process is likely to reduce Australia’s emissions by 1.1 percent overall, whilst the re-purposing of Australian coal to the building product is likely to reduce Australia’s ‘exported’ carbon production by 2.3 percent.
