MASTERS: CASE STUDY ANALYSIS –

Word length: 2300-2500 words (± 10%)

You are required to write two case conceptualisations and two treatment plans for JOHN’S case study .

Instructions:

1. Formulate two case conceptualisations. Each conceptualisation requires synthesizing the relevant data from the case figure’s history, current presenting concerns, defining factors that may take effect in originating vulnerability and maintaining issues, and any relevant assessment data to develop a comprehensive explanation of the individual (case figure’s) issues.

2. Develop two treatment plans that are grounded in the chosen theoretical perspectives and includes specific, measurable, and attainable goals that are customised to each case conceptualisation. The purposed interventions and techniques link to each case conceptualisation and are grounded in the theoretical perspectives.

Choices of Theoretical Orientations for Assessment Two.

• Brief Psychodynamic Therapy: You may utilise variations in this approach such as: Time-Limited Dynamic Psychotherapy (TLDP) and Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP).
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Cognitive Therapy: This is not If you utilise CBT your assessment will be penalised.
• Behaviourism: You may utilise variations in this approach such as: Classical and Operant Conditioning, Modelling and Social Learning, and Systematic Desensitisation. This does not include
• Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT)
