Nurses have the moral obligation to provide holistic care to their patients that includes pharmacological measures and non-pharmacological measures. Both types of measures are crucial for managing the care plan of a patient effectively. In nursing care, non-pharmacological interventions are essential for handling the forthcoming pain of patients. These measures can be implemented alongside medicinal care to help improve pain alleviation and also reduce the adverse effect of opioids. These types of relaxation techniques play a crucial role to help the patient and reduce their stress, anxiety, pain and help their body stimulate endorphins that act like the body's natural anaesthetic.
