This assessment is based on the case of La'ei and is worth 40% of our marks in this subject. The maximum word limit is 000 plus the 256 words in the MH assessment template so overall maximum of 2256. You will not be able to complete the whole template but i have used it for those of you not familiar with MH assessments to give you the idea of the format MH clinicians use. Ideally all assessment tasks should also be learning asks, in this case that is a bit more obvious, i hope.will be sending you a highlighted version of the rubric. There is space at the bottom of the table for your response to the 3 questions and for your references. Below post the task description, the template, and the marking criteria. Task

you are working as a Mental Health worker in an emergency department (ED) when La'ei, a 29-year-old woman of amoan descent presents for review. La'ei arrived at the ED with her mum Natia. Natia tells the intake nurse that La'ei as been behaving 'erratically' and playing with a knife, when with her friend Claire who then telephoned Natia, worried about La'ei and her withdrawal and wellbeing. Natia said that she 'knew it was right to bring her straight in'. La'ei is ressed in a creased jeans, T-shirt and sandals. Her arms have a number of cuts and scratches, and she has some body dour. La'ei is tense and sits very still, looking at the ground. However, periodically she gets up and paces the ED orridor, wringing her hands and mumbling to herself. La'ei then begins to respond to people walking by, staring at vem, sometimes seeming intrigued, afraid or hostile. She follows you to the dedicated Mental Health room in the ED- it ; a Sparse room with four beanbags on the floor. La'ei hesitates before entering. Natia nurtures her, reassuringly uiding her into the room. In the room, you ask La'ei some questions.

She is smiling at you but then looks up to the siling, terrified. She mutters and then nervously smiles again this time to herself before she asks you 'Why am | here?you begin to tell her that her visit here is confidential but La'ei interrupts: 'You know, don't you? You know they are always watching!'. She stares intensely around the room and at the ceiling, and a nearby vent. She adds, 'They are verywhere. Everywhere in everything, always watching! Every one of us is being monitored.' La'ei begins to mumble to herself, and then looking at the ceiling shouts 'Shut up, shut up, shut up! Leave me alone!' Extremely distressed, she screams and holds her ears to block out the noise. A security worker and a nurse colleague come into the room to check everyone is okay.
