Business Report Assignment:

Task: Group Report (Weighting 20%) The instructor will form groups of 3-4 students. The groups will be given a topic from the list below within business communication to research and prepare a formal-style report. 1. Communication breakdowns 2. Cross-cultural factors that impact business communication 3. Non-verbal communication and its importance 4. Multinational businesses and virtual teams 5. Conflict and communication 6. Gender communication in the workplace 7. Collaboration and the workplace 8. Business ethics 9. Relationship between leadership and good communication 10. Social media impact and business success 11. Globalisation and impact on developing countries The groups will work collaboratively to create the report considering the structure and formal requirements of the final work. Each member of the group should be assigned a section of the report to write on their own. In this sense, each group member should write minimum 1000 words per assigned piece as he/she will be presenting later on his/her individual contribution as well as the overall report. A2: Group Presentation (Weighting 15%) Based on the written report, the group will give a presentation summarising the report and highlighting the report’s recommendations. The presentation should be between 8-12 minutes in length. Each individual in the group must present a portion of the overall presentation. The students will be graded individually on their presentation skills as well as their ability to work as a group member (group dynamics).
