A contour map of a rural area is attached. Your group is asked to design a two-lane road between A and B. The scale of the drawing is 1:50 000.

1. Trace the road on the plan view with contours in an A2 size paper considering the maximum allowable grade of 6%, maximum cut/fill the height of = 6m, and other related information.

2. Draw the ground profile along the selected trace on the same Recommended scales: Horizontal 1: 50 000; Vertical 1: 20 000.
