On that day Charlene went to Just Toys at Werribee to buy some children’s toys for Christmas. As a result of the bad weather, and in consequence, the tiled floor in the entry of the store was wet or moist. Before entering the store and located immediately outside the front doors, next to a toy display, Charlene slipped and fell heavily onto the floor. Charlene sustained a skull fracture requiring surgery and thereafter, extensive rehabilitation. As a result of her injuries, she was hospitalised for 6 months and lost her job asa financial advisor. Charlene is yet to completely recover but she wants to seek recompense for her losses. Advise Charlene on her options for legal recourse for her physical injuries through the law of negligence.
