Assessment B – Workplace Project 
Task 1 – Learning Experiences  
You are required to plan, implement, and evaluate learning experiences, in consultation with children across all age groups birth to five years, which fosters their creativity.  Learning experiences must cover: 
• visual arts 
• music and movement 
• dramatic and imaginative play 
• construction play 
You must also demonstrate where children have initiated a creative experience, where a creative approach to routines has been implemented, and where you have facilitated the active participation of a child in these learning experiences. 
Observations must be completed by you and must be from a variety of age groups and learning environments (indoor and outdoor).  You must also have your Workplace Supervisor complete the Workplace Supervisor Evidence Verification form (in the back of this workbook) confirming the evidence you provide for this assessment is your own work.  This must be submitted with your assessment evidence. 
When collecting your evidence please treat all documents as confidential.  
Prior to submission, please either obtain written permission from families or staff members that they consent for you to use their likeness in documentation/photographs. Alternatively, remove all identifying information from any documentation/photographs e.g. blank out names, faces, and any other identifying features. 
To ensure you meet all the requirements for this task you should submit the following evidence for each of the listed age groups. 
Nursery Birth to Age 2 
1. 1 x observation including photographs of creative visual art experiences for children using a range of open-ended, natural and found materials. Ensure you include an evaluation of the experience and suggested modifications. 
2. 1 x observation including photographs of creative music and movement experiences for children (dancing, singing, musical instruments). Ensure you include an evaluation of the experience and suggested modifications.   
3 1 x observation including photographs of dramatic and imaginative play experiences for children (Role playing, acting out stories). Ensure you include an evaluation of the experience and suggested modifications. 
4. 1 x observation including photographs of construction play experiences for children (e.g. wood work, building blocks, inventions). Ensure you include an evaluation of the experience and suggested modifications.   
5. 1 x observation including photographs of a creative experience initiated by children. Ensure you involve children in solving problems that may arise and the critical reflection of the experience. 
6. 1 x observation including photographs of a creative approach to routines. Ensure you include an evaluation of the experience.
