Part 3: Reflective Questions about inclusion plan
A child with additional needs is starting at your centre. Outline in half a page an overview of the strategies you would implement to promote and support the child’s inclusion at the service and participation of all children (1.1, 5.1).
Identity 3 additional barriers to learning which may occur for an individual child (3.1)
Identify 5 ways you could demonstrate a belief capacity in children’s capacity to succeed. Please consider the EYLF Principle High Expectations for all children ( 1.2)
Why is it important to discuss concerns with others to develop a holistic understanding of a particular child’s needs and use this information to inform actions (3.3)
Explain how and why you have used the parents’ and child’s goals, expectations and practices in developing your inclusion plan (3.3).
Identify 3 ways you would reflect on the effectiveness of the inclusion plan, strategies and its impact on the child (4.4, 6.6)
Reflecting on the inclusion plan developed above give an example of what would indicate that the strategies were not working (6.2).
Identify barriers which may occur to prevent strategies being implemented (6.7).
