1. Locate a Behaviour Support Plan for a child within the school.
2. If it is possible to see a working plan that has been completed for a student then this is great. If you are not able to see a completed plan a blank one is just as good.
3. Describe the process within the school for developing the plan:

5. Who is responsible for the implementation?
6. How is the plan communicated to relevant parties?

Task 2
Select a child within the school environment who is in need of additional support (this can be the same child from the Behaviour Support Plan).
Write a minimum of five (5) observations of the student. Use a combination of observation types:

• ABC
• Anecdotal
• Running record

Based on the information in the observations:

1. Identify the learning needs of the student.
2. Suggest expectations for the student stemming from these observations. Share these observations with the education team.
3. List a minimum of five (5) planning suggestions for support for the student. At least two (2) of these plans need to introduce a new skill and provide the student with opportunities to practice this skill and need to be implemented and evaluated, with particular focus on monitoring student progress.
4. Identify any potential or real barriers to learning.
5. Suggest strategies for this student to move beyond identified barriers and to increase access to learning.
6. Choose two of these strategies to implement and evaluate in terms of student progress. Describe this implementation and evaluation.
7. Identify resources and equipment that would be valuable in working with this student. What maintenance would this equipment and resources require and how would you arrange it?
