Case Study A | Legal Issues Workplace 
You are working as a paramedical health care responder and Bill has being your partner  and colleague for the past five (5) years. Several weeks ago, Bill confided in you that he  has been having significant marriage issues.  
Bill has been a valued employee and team member for the organisation for almost 15  years and he is very popular and respected in the organisation  
Over the past two (2) months you have noticed that Bill is regularly arriving late for his  shifts and often making random excuses to leave early. On shift he is not showing his  usual attention to detail and interest in his work. 
He is speaking unkindly to other staff and making racist remarks at times to culturally  diverse work colleagues.  
You have overheard Bill, most recently and on numerous occasions discussing patients’  personal details, especially focused at people from culturally different backgrounds; and  making negative remarks about patient family members. This specific behaviour is not  what you have known of Bill over the last five years. 
What you have observed is that on several occasions, (over the five years), you have  witnessed Bill, and other team members, take work stationary and medical supplies  home to stock up their personal first aid kits.  
You have not reported this activity in the past as Bill is your work partner and you  consider him your friend and the other staff members are close with Bill professionally and socially. The thought of the potential repercussions against you, for not reporting  have however weighed on your mind on several occasions.
