The research article for assessment 1 must relate to nursing / health.

This section consists of short answer questions. Please answer all questions taking note of word count range and referencing requirements.

From your experience in nursing practice, select one (1) relevant, current issue which you think may require change or improvement. It is encouraged for you to use your own idea or select one of the examples listed below:

• Artificial Intelligence in healthcare what are the benefits to the consumer

Using a relevant database (e.g. ClinicalKey, PubMed, CINAHL, Google Scholar) find two PRIMARY research articles relating to your chosen topic area.

These articles will be reviewed; therefore, you need to upload a copy of each article with your assessment. Ensure it is in your accompanying reference list .

1. Consider current trends and developments in nursing practice. Identify an area of industry focus which has relevance to improving your professional evidence-based practice. Discuss how this research is applicable to improving the delivery of patient care and health outcomes. 

2. Provide a brief summary of your selected articles and their objectives/hypotheses that have informed your chosen topic. 

3. Describe how you would determine the validity, strength, relevance, reliability and currency of a research article?

4. Research requires the use of valid, sufficient, relevant, reliable, and current evidence and information (articles) to inform best practice. Referring to your selected two (2) articles:

• Discuss why your selected articles would be considered valid, reliable, sufficient and current.
• Provide a brief summary of their relevance to your chosen topic in the space below.

6. As the Researcher, describe how you have evaluated and selected your preferred method for gathering the supporting evidence for your topic.

7. Why is ethical approval a mandatory requirement for all research studies and who are the approving bodies?

9. Identify cultural, ethical considerations or duty of care requirements for each research article that you have chosen.

10. Explain the following terms which relate to the data collected from your research articles.

11. Identify potential areas for change in current practice including your own based on your selected articles and topic.

12. Is the research you have found relevant to any other disciplines? Identify which health disciplines and health professionals could improve their practice with the knowledge found.

13. Imagine you have completed a research study on your chosen issue, and you are ready to disseminate your research findings.

14. Explain the concept and benefits of dissemination – within your answer identify two (2) ways nurses can be involved in this process.
