The objective of this project is to study contaminated water and how to remove these contaminants. In this project, each student will be assigned a common contaminant in water and student should write a report on this contaminant that focuses on application of mass transfer methodologies to remove this contaminant from water. 

Project policies: 

1) Student is encouraged to use all available resources as long as they are retrieved and cited accordingly

2) The final report must be fully written by the student alone.

3) The report must address the following technical points: 

a. Structure of the molecule

b. Physical properties of the molecule (molecular mass, density, state...etc)

c. Thermodynamics properties like solubility in water (if available)

d. Sources of these contaminants (factories, sewage, agricultural activities..etc)

e. Proposed method to remove this containment from water based on your understanding of mass transfer operations 

f. A reported method to remove this contaminant (a technology or a research paper suggesting a way to remove it)

4) The report should contain useful information with supporting figures. It is expected that the text-to-figure ratio is reasonable and rational. Too little text is not accepted, and too much figures is not accepted either. A reasonable ratio is 70% text and the rest figures.
