In this paper students are required to present the strengths and weaknesses of the theoretical/philosophical approach which underpins the NDIS as a framework for working with differently-abled people. Students will need to demonstrate an understanding of the roll out and application of this policy.
Aims of this Assessment
The aims of this assessment are to:
Critically evaluate the NDIS policy and its impact on equity and access issues.
Critically evaluate policies and practices that influence the health and mental health agenda and their impact on equity and access issues.
Develop skills in policy analysis.
Develop students understanding of how theory impacts on policy development.
Develop research skills by exploring literature, key concepts and contemporary developments.
Present a fluent, substantiated and measured discussion.
Apply contemporary perspectives about health, mental health and wellbeing to practices in community and human services.
