Have 1mm 2core+E feeding on the switchboard to single gang lighting switch that switches the required lighting circuit on & off once connected making sure that Red wire is connected to COM terminal, *Black wire is connected to LOOP terminal, Green/Green & Yellow wire is connected to floating insulated connector placed behind the switch

1mm 2core+E from the single gang lighting switch to BC (Bayonet) light fitting ensuring at switch end that Red wire is connected to the 1 Terminal, black to LOOP terminal, Green/Green & Yellow wire is connected to floating insulated connector placed behind the switch.

At BC fitting ensure Red wire is connected to P terminal, Black wire is connected to N terminal, Green/Green & Yellow wire is connected to E terminal or if no Earth terminal connected to a floating insulated connector placed behind the fitting.

So once the circuit is completed the distribution board will feed power to a light switch that will control the light.

It will use Electrical current flow down the Red wire (Phase/Active) when operator actives the switch current will flow from the distribution board to light switch and circuit once the Phase circuit has completed. The current will then flow back to the distribution board by traveling along the Black wire (neutral). However, if there is a short to Earth (green/green & yellow wire) this will cause a Phase to frame fault and will cause the MCB (miniature current breaker) to trip and cut power to that circuit.
