Your team is engaged to provide structural design and documentation for a steel portal frame in a south-eastern suburb of Melbourne by your Architect. Preliminary architectural sketches of the project are provided. Structure is to be designed using BHP structural steel members available “off shelf”. Steel members are to be designed as non-composite steel members. Building has a metal sheeting roof supported by  purlins and rafters system. The structure specification is given in Table 1.
