Assignment Task

The final project has three milestones:

2) Final report – Story Map

Based on the knowledge you learn during this course and hands-on experience you achieved from the assignments, you should select a real GIS topic project and try to address the issue by applying GIS approaches.

Introduction

Present the background to your study, introduces your research topic and subsequent objectives, and gives an overview of the paper.

Dataset

• Describe the dataset you used in this project. This includes the source of your dataset and their attribute information and spatial references.
• Briefly describe the information in the metadata 1of the data file

Design an appropriate methodology

• It must include at least 3 different spatial analysis
• Based on the defined research question and the subsequent objectives, the design of the methodology is your next step. One way to work on your methodology is to create a flowchart (or a model) of the various steps required to answer your question. You can think of this as the logical flowchart of the operations required to solve the problem.

Present your results

• Present your findings after preforming your analysis. According to your defined objectives and the methodology (and probably refined based on the availability of data), and data in your possession, it is time to use your acquired skills as a GIS analyst and apply your methodology.

• You need to conclude your findings after performing your analysis.
• What actions it might need to take based on your analysis? Any advice?
• Describe your project limitations
