Tasks
For Assessment Task 1 you are required to:
1. Identify what your product idea is
2. Develop this product idea into a business model, using a business model canvas
3. Evaluate your product idea and business model, using either Timmons Quick Screen or Prime
Analysis Framework (with at least 4 indicator areas)
4. Determine whether your product idea and business model is worthwhile pursuing
The individual pitch should be a synopsis (short version) of this key content. The pitch report will
provide a more detailed evaluation of this content.
Format
Assessment 1a – Individual Pitch
• This pitch presentation can be developed using Adobe Spark or powerpoint (info-graphics
package provided on canvas). Please make sure to cover all tasks 1-4 above and to align with
marking rubrics for higher grades.
• This pitch presention will be delivered in the tutorial, or online, pending restrictions.
• This pitch presentation should be no more than ONE (1) minute long.

Assessment 2a – Pitch Report
• This pitch report should be developed using Adobe Spark and you are free to follow any style of presentation depending on your creativity. However, please make sure to perform all the tasks 1-4 above and to align with marking rubrics for higher grades.
• Underpinning all your work is extensive research drawing on relevant sources. This will be particularly relevant for your opportunity evaluation (Task 3 above), where you should demonstrate evidence to support your claims. This includes, but is not limited to, industry reports; academic publications (textbooks, articles, working papers); government reports; news regalia and authoritative websites.
• This pitch report should be no more than THREE (3) pages, excluding references and title page. Content beyond this limit will not be assessed.
