During your Nursing Practice 3 Professional Experience Placement (PEP), you will be required to undertake a clinical audit of medication of three (3) individuals for whom you provide care. The aim of this assessment task is to highlight the importance of the role and responsibility of the Registered Nurse in safely administering medications. Your work should highlight your understanding.

For each of these patients choose two (2) medications.

1. Where possible try to choose two (2) different medications (not herbal or alternative medications) for each patient. If this is not possible that is ok.
2. If you are based at a GP clinic and your patients do not have medication charts, you should be able to find what medications they are prescribed in their patient notes
