• Do a literature search to find the best five research papers you can use to answer your clinical question. REMEMBER: If you find there are TOO MANY papers found in your search, or the papers are irrelevant, you may need to revise your question or use of keywords/search terms to find specific results.

• Describe your literature search strategy and its output. You should include the following information: the databases searched; search terms and/or keywords and how these were combined; a number of articles located; the dates included; inclusion and exclusion criteria; final number of articles available; how you acquired your final five research articles that may be useful in informing your focused clinical question. 

• Rationalise your choice of at least five articles that specifically address your focused question. Provide a brief summary of articles.

• Critique/discussion: Discuss your perception of the strength of the quality and authority of the selected journal articles AND the authority of the Clinical practice guideline/policy.

• You need to read Information for Practice Thinking before you attempt this. This document is available in your Assessment 1 folder. This resource will direct you on how to determine the quality and authority of each research paper and the chosen guideline.

• Conclusion: Draws evidence together from the five research articles and provides a summary of your findings and recommendations.

• Remember to include an introduction that will ‘introduce’ the topic and inform the reader what you will be discussing throughout the paper.
