A new rail operator (WarwickshireRail) will operate 8 trains which will join towns across Warwickshire using the existing rail infrastructure owned by Network Rail. WarwickshireRail will have 125 employees and the centre of its operations will be in Nuneton. A new online booking system will be implemented by WarwickshireRail allowing users to search for routes, ticket prices and times, passes, as well as to book their tickets online.
You have been appointed by WarwickshireRail as an external security consultant to ensure that the new online booking system meets all the regulations in place and to assess the risks associated with customer information and the use of the system.

The submission should be a report covering the following:
1. Risk Assessment
Once WarwickshireRail starts operating, the online booking system will become key to its successful operations. You are tasked with conducting a risk assessment for the booking system; you are expected to make a number of assumptions, draw certain scenarios, which should be included in your answer. Describe at least three risks, including threats, likelihood, suggested risk strategies and other information you deem relevant in order for WarwickshireRail to manage the risk.
2. Mitigation Strategy
Using the outcomes of the risk assessment, your client will be able to outline their
mitigation strategy. Select one of the risks that you have identified and use it to illustrate the development of a mitigation strategy that they can use as guidance.

3. Security Policies
WarwickshireRail has contracted a consultant to write the relevant security policies for WarwickshireRail’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) including their booking system. You are tasked to outline a list of minimum issues to be covered in the policy/policies with respect to the use and operation of the booking system, along with the relevant standards and write up a draft of issues that should be included in such a policy.
