Question : CQ-Contractors (CQC) has employed three qualified concrete workers (names of the employees are left to your choice) to perform the supplying and laying of concrete floors/blocks/footings in their customers’ plots. They have plans to perform concrete column foundation works in the future. Currently, for a concrete floor/block/footing purpose the length, width and depth measurements are collected from the customers. Some of the customers who request for concrete floor/block/footing additionally ask for stencil work on top of the concrete work performed Based on the measurements provided, the required volume of concrete is then calculated appropriately. Currently, CQC charges $215/cubic meter of concrete laying work. Additional stencil work costs $20/square meter of the involved floor’s surface area. Whenever a customer approaches CQC for the above mentioned types of concrete work, a unique work-order is created and details such as type of concrete work, the plot- address, date on which the concrete work has to be done and the measurement details, as mentioned above, are collected from that customer. For each concrete work-order only one employee of CQC is responsible. Each concrete work-order is undertaken in a single day only (i.e., commenced and completed on the same day). CQC has approached you to develop a software application to handle the data related to their concrete works. You have decided to design and develop a Java GUI application to meet their requirements. The software application’s GUI should have necessary controls to receive the inputs related to the concrete work. The GUI layout is left to your choice. The software application should also be user-friendly and is expected to display appropriate error/exit messages. For the software application development, you have to create appropriate Java classes and also use the inheritance and/or aggregation concepts of OOD. You need to create your own superclass and sub classes that are relevant to the above requirements. Please note that extending the available built-in Java classes such as JFrame will not be considered, as inheritance usage, for assignment marking purpose. The application should also show your Student ID and Full name. In the initial stage, in assignment 1, the application need not store the concrete-work details. The main purpose of the application is to calculate and display of the total charges for a concrete work. The following Buttons, in addition to other controls, should be available and perform appropriate actions: 1.Calculate – to calculate the charges of concrete work 2. Clear – to clear the current inputs and present the default page 3. Exit – to confirm the exit and then close the application
