Required Tasks
For the purpose of this assignment, you are assumed to be the principal software consultant appointed to shoulder the systems analysis responsibilities in the project outlined in the case study. You will plan and manage the project as well as investigate and document its systems requirements. For this assignment, you will produce a report and an Excel spreadsheet that discuss this project based on your understanding of it and the related investigation results through the tasks below.
Introduction (5 marks)
• Define the aims of the report. (2.5 marks)
• Identify the project objectives. (2.5 marks)

Task 1: Approaches to Systems Development (10 marks)
• How would “Number-One Medical Center (NMC)” go about developing its information systems? (5 marks)
• Justify your choice for the selected approach to systems development. (5 marks)

Task 2: Systems Requirements (15 marks)
• What are the primary functional requirements for the new system? (10 marks)
• What are the non-functional requirements for the new system? (5 marks)

Task 3: Project Cost/Benefit Analysis (15 marks)
• Perform and discuss your Project Cost/Benefit Analysis. (7.5 marks)
• Provide an Excel spreadsheet (as a separate file for submission) with details about your Project Cost/Benefit Analysis. (7.5 marks)
In other words, in addition to the report, you must also submit an Excel spreadsheet. When submission, submit the report and the Excel spreadsheet as two separate files. Do not submit a zip file.

Task 4: Project Management and Scheduling (20 marks)
• Show a Work Breakdown Structure and a Project Schedule (in the form of a Gantt Chart). Explain both of them and discuss how they relate to each other. (15 marks)
• Given the system goals, requirements, and scope as they are currently understood, is the Project Schedule reasonable? Why or why not? (5 marks)

Task 5: Systems Information Investigation Techniques (25 marks)
• Who are the stakeholders involved? (5 marks)
• Explain your choice of the 3 most useful investigation techniques. (12 marks)
• Justify the usefulness of these 3 investigation techniques. (8 marks)

Summary and Conclusion (5 marks)
• Briefly summarize your findings and provide a conclusion. (5 marks)
