Assignment Objective
This main goal of this assignment is to provide students with concepts of big data which expose them to data-intensive computing context. The students will analyze the characteristics of big data and its challenges, limitations and also the students will evaluate appropriate development tools for big data programming problems.

Task 2. (90 marks)
Middle East College (MEC) is a college based in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. It is one of the leading higher education institution in the Sultanate of Oman, with over 5,100 students. MEC is affiliated to Coventry University, UK. Use the dataset provided in Moodle with the name consumption.txt. This dataset has given the data regarding the electrical consumption of a Middle East College and include the monthly electrical consumption and the annual average for six consecutive years from 2014 to 2019. Implement / develop MapReduce applications to process the input data in the given dataset to find the maximum usage of the year, minimum usage of the year and the average usage of the year.

Implement/ develop the Reducer program for Consumption_Reducer class and explain the role of each reducer class and the reducer function used. (20 marks)

Implement/ develop the Client program for Consumption_Runner class and explain the role of the main method including the different method calls used. (30 marks)
