5. explain the difference between inductive and deductive argumentation
6. analyse the components of an argument

By the end of Assignment 03, after describing your strategy and methodology, you should be able to

1. demonstrate that you understand the difference between qualitative and quantitative research
2. identify the qualitative and/or quantitative elements within your research project and describe the methodology (or methodologies) required to gather data to resolve the problem identified in Assignment 01 by referring to the population, drawing of samples, gathering of data and establishing of reliability and validity 24
3. draw up a provisional plan for resolving the problem identified in Assignment 01
4. start gathering the necessary data in order to resolve the problem identified in Assignment 01
5. present a technically correct report as Assignment 03, in which you set out how you are going to gather data in order to resolve the problem identified in Assignment 01, together with your data-gathering instruments
