This assessment item relates to the following unit learning outcomes:
LO1 Describe the functions, materials and details of the major components. the waste management strategies used and the regulatory inspections made when constructing a commercial project.
LO3. Using codes and standards, assess construction documentation for constructability and fault detection. All assessment items must be submitted via the Moodle portal

Background
Consider the case studies provided on the Moodle site designated for assessment item 2. You will find the architectural design documentation. No inspections should be undertaken.
 

Question 1 
Provide a succinct overview of each case study including the; locality, clients, professional consultants, contractors, building classification, proposed or expected occupancy levels & description
of the primary structural systems.

Question 2 
In relation to each case study provide a detailed response to the following questions which relate to the projects procurement processes & strategies;
1. What type of procurement contract has been selected and why?
2. Based on the details of the project do you believe this was the best option? Why?
3. Examine the benefits and limitations of choosing one (1) another option?
