1. You work in a community health service as a counsellor / advocate. The service is set in a neighbourhood with government housing and the people in the area are predominantly families with limited financial resources, mainly refugees from Iran. You have become aware that many of the people you see in your role as counsellor / advocate are isolated and marginalised, and you are planning a support group for these people. You are now developing a proposal to be submitted to your Coordinator. 
2. You are working at a government funded service that provides support to families, children and young people when a child within the family has a diagnosis of a disability. You primarily work with teenagers and notice there are numerous clients with a diagnosis of high functioning autism who are socially isolated, lack confidence due to a sense of being different (sometimes reinforced by the behaviour of peers at school) and the difficulties they experience with reading social cues. You believe a group will provide an ideal environment to help these young people build connections, normalise their experiences and develop and practice social skills, you are now ready to submit a proposal to your supervisor to access support and funding for the group.
