Question: Whilst on fieldwork placement or as a worker in the community service sector, discuss with your supervisor the organisation’s policies, procedures and resources relating to debriefing and crisis interventions as well as dispute resolution processes. Discuss with your supervisor the types of work environments and incidents that may impact on the health and well-being of community services workers. Also discuss with your supervisor their experience in supporting the health and well-being of their staff in the community services work environments. Review the organisation’s policies and procedures related to debriefing and support processes. Write a paper outlining your discussion with your supervisor of the items above. Include in your paper the strategies you think you might use as a supervisor of staff in the facilitation of workplace debriefing and how you would support your colleagues.
