Coursework requires students to design and build a POC that at least takes two separate home or facility condition monitoring measurements through two different sensors each measuring and monitoring either condition or access to the house or facility, as illustrated in the diagram supplied, to document and demonstrate their operation to a member of teaching staff.

• Documentation, and portfolio report (single document) is due by May 6, 2021 23:59 via Moodle.

Requirements

Build and configure a prototype to meet the requirements in the diagram above.

1. Record the home or facility condition monitoring measurements, i.e. temperature or humidity and display the condition monitoring measurements appropriately.

2. If the temperature drops below a certain threshold then you can generate an appropriate alert, e.g. message or email, etc.

3. Record an unauthorised access to the home or facility, i.e. a motion sensor determines the possible burglary. You do not need to use data base for authorisation.

4. Generate alert or indication for possible unauthorised access to the house or facility, e.g. message or email, etc.

5. Report and record the results to a suitable IoT management system. The IoT management system (Dashboard) shows the status of the condition monitoring.
