Assessment task instructions
You are required to maintain at least two (2) aviaries over a period of 10 days. As you only complete roster for 1 day per week you will be required to complete each task on a different date to ensure that evidence is provided for 10 days.
In order to successfully complete your assessment, you need to correctly complete each activity. Prior to submission of your assessment, ensure you have addressed all sections.

Activity 1 – Aviary Cleaning & Maintenance
This will be accomplished with five (5) aviary cleaning sessions. An Assessment Checklist will be completed by the assessor for EACH aviary cleaning session.
The aviary cleaning session will be conducted as a group activity – over the five sessions you must complete all the tasks required for a complete aviary cleaning i.e. if you do mulch removal and/or replacement for one session you should not do this for the next.
You must ensure that the appropriate aviary cleaning record is signed by your supervisor at each session.
