Your task is to write a written response of up to 2000 words to compare and contrast two texts of your own independent choosing. You must examine the literary techniques and stylistic features of these texts. Specifically,
your task is to explore how authors have treated ideas, issues and themes differently to communicate to their audiences. The texts can be from a variety of text styles but must include at least one extended prose (novel) as well as a second substantial text, including but not limited to a film, documentary film, television episode, extended
poem, short story etc.

Choose appropriate text
Choose any two texts which will be substantial enough to engage and support an extended response; that the issues, themes, ideas, structural features and techniques, have enough content for you to explore. How have the creators of texts treated and explored ideas similarly or differently? Submit proposal.

Dissect/highlight/dot point/pull apart/screen shot/note-take your pieces. Develop a bank on each text of: significant literary features, structural features, issue, themes and ideas.
