Highlights
You have been hired as the network administrator for Jeff’s Pure Rock Guitar Shop. This is a new business with a budget and an attitude to dominate the world. Just 6 months ago, this business opened in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As expected, this business has flourished and is now dominating the industry, world-wide. Currently, the Kalamazoo office has 350 computers: 50 - shipping and receiving, 25 – accounting, 10 – Human Resources, 15 – managers, 25 – technicians, 100 – sales personnel, 100 – customer service, 20 - marketing, and 5 - IT. Jeff’s Pure Rock Guitar shop has expanded to London, Los Angeles, and New York City. Each location will have the same number of computers, in each department, as noted above. Your job is to design, implement, and manage these networks.
You will be stationed in Kalamazoo, so you need to ensure you can manage each router and switch from that location.
The Kalamazoo LAN is currently allocated the 10.62.0.0/16 subnet. Ensure that each department (noted above) receives its own, unique subnet using private IPv4 addressing.
Size your subnets appropriately – use the smallest prefix to accommodate the number of nodes required. The 10.62.0.0/16 can only be used in the Kalamazoo LAN.
Requirements for each location:
Network communication is required between each office location. Use a routing protocol of your choice to route WAN traffic.
Design the network displaying logical segmentation, connectivity, and layout of the required devices.
