Instructions for this assessment This is an online Case Studies assignment and will be conducted as a take home assessment. You will be permitted to use your reference text and learning notes and Power Point slides when completing this assessment.

Case study – Heart disorder
Case study – Gastrointestinal disorder
Submission instructions On completion of this assessment, you are required to submit it online (MOODLE) for marking.
You MUST also complete the checklist found on LAST PAGE of this assignment to be accepted for marking.

What do I need to do to achieve a satisfactory result? To achieve a satisfactory result for this assessment all questions must be answered correctly.
You MUST achieve 100% to pass this unit of study. You are offered three (3) attempts at achieving 100%. If you have not achieved 100% after your second attempt you will be required to wait 24 hours for your third attempt, so you have time to reflect, study and improve.

Having healthy lungs is vital to your overall health.
Receiving an adequate amount of oxygen is necessary for your body to function properly.
It is important to realise that breathing should never be something that is forced or labored. It should come naturally and be done with ease.

If breathing is painful in any way or there is difficulty in experiencing difficulty in taking in a sufficient amount of air or if you find that you run out of breath easily, there may be a problem that will require diagnostic testing and treatment.
Obviously, if people are suffering from a chest cold or have just recently been sick with a lung condition it may take a little while for your lungs to fully heal. However, if any of the above mentioned problems should last more than 7 to 10 days then having a full checkup of your respiratory system would be a very good idea.

Coughing can be a perfectly normal sign of a minor illness such as a cold or even of an allergy of some sort but persistent coughing that lasts for more than a week or so could be cause for alarm. In addition, it is important to note what comes up when coughing or whether or not the cough seems to be more of a dry/hacking variety.
