Question 4 – Decision making, leadership and change management - case study (14 marks) (Max. 300 words)
Case study: As the manager of your local Officeworks and due to the current government restrictions, you have been asked to close your branch to customers and arrange for click and collect delivery. This has resulted in a decision to temporarily move all sales and operations to the online platform. Your role is to mobilise your team members and ensure that all orders to your store are received, prepared, packed and customers notified for collection, using clear and timely online communication. This temporary change will ensure business continuity. However, staff and stock availability, logistics and operations and safety are your key consideration. This will ensure customers are able to continue to purchase and your branch will maintain its financial target. As the manager, you are to develop plans to improve decision making,change and innovation, and operations for your branch during this time.
