She feels this would give Jakebetter access to expert help and appropriate resources and treatment that wouldsupport him in developing his physical and cognitive skills. However, his father wouldlike him to attend the local primary school; he feels that this would offer Jake the chance
to integrate with other children and develop his social and emotional skills.
Jake’s Mother’s approach might be argued as meeting more of anindividualised/person-centred approach to rehabilitation and recovery, while Jake’s Fathers approach is more likely a community-based rehabilitative approach.
