Report Writing Assignment:

Task: Write 1500 words for the whole assignment (excluding references). The assignment must be submitted by close of business 17 th. October 2016 (week 11). You have been appointed as the Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) for a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) within an RPT airline, operating Heavy Capacity “Class A” RPT aircraft . As the Continuing Airworthiness Manager your organisation is responsible for the conduct of an “Airworthiness Review” for the fleet of aircraft operated by the airline that you manage. As you are accountable for the success of this system, you are required to write a report to demonstrate to your “Accountable Manager”, just how you will meet the CASA requirements laid down in Civil Aviation Safety Regulations. The minimum points you should cover are :- 1. The purpose of an “Airworthiness Review”. 2. How, in your opinion, will the “Airworthiness Review” process reduce the safety risk associated with the aircraft and the operation. 3. What should be included in an “Airworthiness Review” and the procedure for carrying out the Review. 4. Records required for “Airworthiness Reviews” 5. Qualifications of the “Airworthiness Review Employee” tasked with the review? 6. The length of time that an “Airworthiness Review Certificate” is in force for and conditions of any permitted extensions? 7. The administration that has to be undertaken by the “Airworthiness review Employee” to record/demonstrate review, prior to issuing the certificate.
