This assessment activity relates to the topics covered in the Strategic Management Actions in the unit 
 Students will be provided initial information on an industry and a company or companies in that industry.

Students will for the selected company (Woolworths) students will prepare a report covering
1 -What are the current corporate and business level strategies followed by the firm?
2-Does the firm has the necessary resources capabilities and competencies to achieve its corporate and business level strategies? 
3 -How does the firm use its value chain to achieve its business-level strategy?
4 -Use the model of competitive dynamics to identify describe  the competitive rivalry (likelihood of attack and response)
5 -The industry sector and companies will be discussed in week 2 of the unit, as it is the same as the industry and company used in the individual assignment. (Woolworths).  

Details of this assignment will be available in Week 6.

In answering the questions, students should focus on what they consider to be the key aspects of the strategic action issues they are addressing, rather than providing comprehensive coverage of all aspects.
The report structure outlined in the next section of this guide should be followed.
The Executive Summary may be a numbered list and is not included in the word count. 
Tables can be used in addition to the word count, and if used should be included in an Appendix.
