Highlights
CSR Scandals
The dissertation needs to cover 15-18 CSR scandals that have occurred in the last 15-20 years. Of them, 3 companies need to be identified and the CSR reports of these 3 companies before the scandal and after the scandal needs to be covered. The detailed dissertation can happen in the next few weeks. However, by coming Friday (12 February 2021) I need a list of these 15-18 companies. The list will be an excel file containing the name of the company, the scandal impact area, the year in which it happened and the gist of the scandal.
Chapter 1: Introduction
This chapter introduces and contextualises your dissertation. A good introduction chapter will set out the significance and important of the topic, provide a summary of the findings and implications, and explain how the dissertation is structured.
hapter 2: Literature review
A literature review discusses published information in a particular subject area. It usually combines both summary and synthesis of existing academic research. A summary is a recap of the important information of the source, but a synthesis is a re-organization of that information, e.g. comparing and contrasting perspectives, tracing the intellectual progression of the field, including major debates, evaluating the sources according to relevance and importance for your research.
Chapter 3: Methodology
This chapter will explain and justify the research undertaken as well as any criteria used to collect / select the data. It will also explain how information is analysed and synthesised and considers the limitations of the approach. The ethical implications of the approach ought to be considered.
Chapter 4: Findings
This chapter presents the analysis and synthesis in response to the research question(s). you may want to devise an appropriate title for this chapter.
Chapter 5: Discussion and implications
This chapter interprets and discusses the findings in response to the ‘so what’ question – why is the analysis important and for whom? It also sets out the implications of the analysis for further study and, where appropriate, managers and/or policy-makers.
Chapter 6: Conclusion
This chapter summarises the findings in response to the research question(s) and their implications for future research and practice. The conclusion chapter is a prime opportunity to emphasise the contribution of the work and to consider how the findings relate back to any broader contextual issues raised in the introduction. A reflective statement about what is learnt as part of the dissertation (no more than 500 words) to be included which answers questions like –
Q-What worked well for you in the process of undertaking your dissertation?
Q-What challenges did you face?
Q-What would you do differently with the benefit of hindsight?
Q-What skills did you develop and how do they relate to your future career?
