CORU Diagnostic Imaging Competency Test Assignment

Assignment Task

As per CORU regulations, the test will consist of three components and all components must be individually passed. No compensation between or within components is permitted.

1. Written Assignment: This will be an assignment assessing the applicant's identified shortfalls in the areas of Diagnostic Imaging. The writte nassignment will be on the following topic: You must fully analyse and evaluate the method and statistics in the following journal article (also attached to this email)

Include an evaluation of the scientific approach taken by the authors (research design methodology, including statistical approach, result display, discussion and conclusions).

2. Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) This will take the form of an oral examination on the following topics to assess the applicant's identified deficits. It is anticipated that the overall length of time to complete the oral OSCE will be approximately 30 minutes.

• OSCE Oral Exam: Research, evidence-based practice & audit.

3. Interview: The purpose of the interview will be to further ascertain the level of understanding of the applicant in relation to the identified deficits. The applicant will also be given the opportunity to clarify aspects of the written assignment and/or OSCE, as appropriate, during the interview.
