Counseling and Clinical Psychology Assignment

Assignment Task

Objective 

My ambition is to become a Clinical Psychologist to fulfil my passion and life goal of helping others. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at the University of Wollongong where I aim to complete my Master of Clinical Psychology. I am looking for a part-time or casual position that will assist me in developing the skills necessary to excel as a psychologist whilst I am studying.

Skills & Abilities

Psychology involves a variety of skills such as communication, problem-solving, leadership and teamwork. Whilst I consider myself to have these skills, I am looking to expand and improve on these abilities. Further, I take pride in my time management skills and adaptability to new situations with a positive mindset.

Experience

• Launched the store and established a strong bond with regular customers
• Restocked and priced stock whilst maintaining an organised storeroom
• Responded to the needs of customers and answered questions promptly
• Gained extensive knowledge on sports such as triathlons.
• Operated AP21, filled out Excel spreadsheets and sent EOD emails.
• Opened and closed the store ensuring it was neat and tidy.

Julie Parks Studio Of Dance/Casual Admin and Assistant Dance Teacher:

• Handled transactions and served customers.
• Worked with young children and enthusiastically assisted in dance lessons.
• Managed stressful and fast-paced situations during busy periods.
• Assisted at the end of year production by helping in the overall management and coordination of the event.

• Attended events such as the Youth Leadership Conference and the Young Women’s Leadership Program at NSW Parliament House.
