You will learn how to use analysis tools in the relevant modules and in Collaborate Sessions. The use of each tool, SWOT, GAP and Force Field analysis, is required as a component of assessment 2.

1. Using the situation for analysis approved in Blog 2 and SMART goal after feedback in Blog 2. Consider how you will explore/analyse the aspects and questions inherent in your situation. Next step is to utilise the three tools SWOT, GAP and Force Field analyses to analyse the situation.  The following areas must be covered in your presentation.

 First slide will be the title which is your SMART goal/s; some may have sub goals for sequential outcomes toward the final goal. Remember a SMART goal is a single sentence that contains each element of the SMART acronym see module. 

 Next slides describe your situation, what are the issues, who are stakeholders, how have you undertaken consultation, what do your stakeholders think/want and what is the desired outcome

 Consider who you will consult with including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander services/liaison officers in relation to your situation. 
However, in general, consider what are the important aspects of cultural competence required in your leadership and management context.
You may refer to ministry of health targets or organisational or service targets to improve the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. If you consider that your selection situation for analysis doesn’t have an impact for the specific needs of Aboriginal and Torres Islander people (which is rare) consult your Course Coordinator

 Complete each template - SWOT, GAP and Force Field analysis - one per slide. Populate the template with the variables relevant to your situation. The templates provided must be used for this assessment.

 The final aspect of your presentation considers ‘in draft’ your strategic plans with at least three options, goals, directions, you will flesh out with more detail and evidence as you evolve and write up the analysis into a report for Assessment 3.
