Discuss obtaining informed consent from the patient in this case study, and how you would maintain patient autonomy, privacy and confidentiality as a Registered Nurse. 3. What are the implications for the nurse-patient therapeutic relationship when applying the ethical principles of beneficence and non-maleficence to this patient? In your answer consider the age, gender, ethnicity, family and social structure of the patient.
