Task 1 - What WHS procedures will you follow when you inspect David and Tara’s site and take measurements?

When inspecting David and Tara’s site to take measurements each state has their own separate WHS procedures and rules regarding workplace prevention of injuries. I will be taking precautionary steps to avoid injuries such as using safe working practices. I shall be aware of risk management procedures and the application of those. I should be knowing methods of identifying and controlling hazards and understanding safety signs and symbols. I should be using protective equipment in accordance with site rules. I should be reporting all procedures as they occur. I should be developing all these skills.

Task 2: Produce sketches and drawings
Task 2 requires you to create two sets of freehand drawings for the clients. All drawings produced for this assessment must follow these instructions.
Drawing 1: Site Plan
In the first drawing you must reproduce the provided Site Plan drawing. You are then to select a space in the allocated zoned area on the site, to add the footprint for the proposed double garage with workshop (6m x 10m). View the site plan at Appendix A.
Your 2D freehand Site Plan drawing must include:
? Scaling at 1:200 on A3 paper
? All services, stormwater pipe work, setbacks, boundaries, driveways and contour lines

? All notations as indicated

Drawing 2: Floor Plan - Garage with Workshop
Your next task is to prepare a 2D freehand sketch plan at a scale of 1:50 of your design for the double garage and workshop. Create the stand-alone floor plan on A3 paper. Include the following:
? Double garage with workshop area (6m x 10m)
? All external and internal walls
? Roof outline using a dashed line (i.e. - - - - - )
? Workbench/es should be shown in the workshop
? All doors – i.e. roller door (4.8m x 2.1m), external access to workshop (door = 920mm)
? Natural lighting source (i.e. window/s, skylight, etc.)
? External rainwater tank (2,000 litres) In final preparations, please include the following drawing conventions:
