You are provided the “Assignment_3_Question_B.zip” file with one folder “Digits”. Each image in the folder is in png format and size 16 x 16.
There are three (3) tasks to be performed as below:
a. Use the images in “Digits” folder and perform K means (K = 6) by using 256 dimension features. Display all images of each clusters. (hint: use subplot function in MATLAB). Display the average image of each clusters.
b. Use the images in “Digits” folder and perform PCA on all images to reduce the number of dimension to 100 (project all images to the first 100 principal components). Visualize the first 20 eigenvectors obtained from PCA (hint: use subplot function in MATLAB).
c. Project all images to 100-dimension space. You are asked to perform K means (K = 6) on the projected data (100 dimensions). Display all images of each clusters. Display the average image of each clusters.
