Highlights
Interactive Animation Path Modeler
You will implement an interactive animation path modeling program using subdivision curves. This programming assignment will increase your knowledge of shape modeling, animation, and projection.
Program Functionality Requirements:
You must use the provided subdivision curve code as the animation curve!!
Your program should allow the user to design an animation path on a 3D ground plane. Skeleton code is provided that implements an interactive animation path in a 2D window using a smooth curve known as a subdivision curve (See figures titled Animation Path Designer). A nice applet demonstrating subdivision curves can be found. Another 3D window is also provided that draws a ground plane just like in A1. Subdivision curves are represented as an array of 2D points. (see the file subdivcurve.h) There is also a separate array of 2D “control” points which are visualized as little circles. The skeleton code allows you select, using the mouse, a control point and move it around the 2D window. Each time a control point is moved, a new subdivision curve is generated (the old array of curve points is discarded). You are also able to insert new control points by positioning the mouse somewhere along the curve in the 2D window and clicking the middle mouse button.
