PART A – CREATE A PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIO 
You will be required to work individually to create a digital portfolio in week five.  
As part of the Bachelor of Media and Communications (BMC) degree, you must develop and maintain a  Media and Communications Portfolio. Given that this is a foundation unit for the BMC degree, this  assessment requires you to start your portfolio website. You will follow the step-by- step instructions and  guides on how to start and develop your Media and Communication Portfolio 
This assessment will be discussed in detail in and online lecture and tutorial. We will give you tips on how to  design the portfolio, how to add portfolio-ready assignments from other units, and a range of examples to  illustrate what we expect your portfolio to look like. 
As this is your portfolio and a living document, you will revisit it throughout your study and post-graduation  career to add new materials, update existing content, and make other changes that ensure the portfolio is  the best account of your achievements, skills, and knowledge. 
 

You will need to include the following:  

• A landing/front page this is the first page someone sees when they click onto your site
• An about me page   gives someone visiting an idea of who you are and where you want to go
• Contact Details – we suggest just an email or social media for now and avoid phone numbers - 

PART B – PUBLISH YOUR PHOTOS 
You will be required to create, edit and export a collection of photos to be published on your Portfolio. You  may use a dedicated professional camera to complete this assignment, or if you do not have access to a  dedicated camera, you can use your mobile phone. 
You will submit photos you have shot and edited yourself for this assignment, (do not use pictures  taken prior to this), as well as photos you have edited which have been supplied to you. You will  also be required to submit a planning document in the lead up to the assignment and a submission  document with your full resolution photos as well as publish your photos on your professional  portfolio site.
