Assignment Task

How do I answer the questions? You should copy and paste the questions into a fresh word document and type your responses under each. Your answers should be based on a combination of your course learning, independent research, and your own critical analysis.

What is the word limit?

Does typing out the questions count for the word limit?

How long should each answer be? The word limit gives an average of 500 words per question. You should aim roughly for this amount to maximise the potential marks for each question, but you can choose to allocate more or less to each.

Can I go 10% over the word limit?

Can I go 10% under the word limit? Yes, but we recommend you use the full word limit available to maximise your possible marks.

Do I need to include a reference list? Yes, you must demonstrate evidence of independent research by referencing sources throughout your assignment. You should use the APA7 referencing style. You can find out more about referencing by watching the 'Referencing Advice' video in this module and on the Griffith website.

Does the reference list count towards the word count?

How many references do I need? There is no specific required amount but as a rule of thumb, you should aim for 8-10 references. Remember, you can also use the same source more than once.

How do I upload my assignment? You can upload your assignment via the submission portal. For late submissions after the due date, use this portal instead.

Why can't I see the submission portal? The on-time submission portal will open 2 weeks before the due date. The late submissions portal will be open after the due date. If you cannot see the portals according to those timeframes, please notify your tutor or lecturer.

Is there a penalty for late submission? Yes, 5% will be deducted every day it is late for 7 days.

Can I apply for an extension? If you have a valid reason for an extension you may apply for an extension. If you are granted an extension, there will be no penalty for late submission up to an approved number of days. You can find more information about extensions here.

When will I receive my mark and feedback? You will receive your mark and feedback within 3 weeks of the due date.
