Step 4: From the search select the 5 or more most relevant articles to critically appraise.

Step 5: Critically appraise the outcomes from each of the 5 papers using the following appraisals questions and chart into a table:

  • Is the evidence from a known, reputable source?

  • Has the evidence been evaluated in any way? If so, how and by whom? 
  • How recent is the evidence? 
  • How was the outcome measured?
